Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely amazing! I don’t know what other people are reviewing, but it sure isn’t the Harmon Kardon Onyx Studio 7. I am a major music snob, and I tell you, this is the best sounding Bluetooth Speaker I have ever heard. You can truly feel the deep bass, and the highs are crisp and clear. I’m not a paid reviewer, or a JBL/Harmon Kardon employee either. I absolutely love how it looks as well. I had no problems linking it to both my iPhone and several Android devices. I’d love to test, try and review other Bluetooth Speakers and give my honest opinion!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible I had all the model from Onyx Studio 1 to Onyx Studio 4. Never had any issue, they worked perfect and great sound. I decided to buy Onyx Studio 7 and I am very disappointed. It is losing the Bluetooth signal all the time like it will some interference on the old cell phone. I testes 2 speakers already and both they do the same. Obviously there is a problem. Now I feel so sorry I was a fan for so many year and finally time to switch to real brands. Maybe Samsung should pay more attention on what it is happening of they decided to buy Harman Kardon. Plus their customer support it is so out dated and not trained. Don't buy this crap!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clean sound, heavy bass Easy to set up and use. No frustrating fiddly features or "smart" features. Huge low-bass response, although slightly weak on the low-mids, so it doesn't sound as "warm" as it could. Better for pumping dance music than chillout or film soundtracks. Sounds a little like a subwoofer/satellite combo, but really not bad for a Bluetooth speaker. But it's a clean sound, and I think I could listen to it for a while before it got fatiguing. I kinda wish I could tame the low-bass just a little bit though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great quality sound! Issues found! Me and me roommate have had the speaker for a good month now and love the quality of the sound and the bass. Found 2 minor issues. At times, when I try to raise or lower the volume on my phone it fails to do so on the speaker. And music breaks when using the dual sound feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Sound & Great Aesthetics - BUY 2 I used to have Studio 4s and loved them for their sound quality. When I saw the way these looked, I had to get them. I purchased 2 a few months back and I am very happy with my purchase. Sound: They have the classic V sound signature that I have grown to love! The bass is ridiculous for the size of the speaker, especially when placed in the corner of a room. The dual sound feature is definitely my favorite - they really provide room-filling sound with excellent resolution and deep bass. Stereo mode is the best feature as it opens up the music's sound stage - feels alive and around you. These speakers get LOUD while maintaining their clarity. I enable mono mode when I have parties as it is a little louder than stereo and just makes more sense for a party. I recommend plugging these speakers in when you can as the sound is better and louder, especially the bass. Aesthetics: These speakers look like they are straight out of a sci-fi movie and I love it. My guests are always asking about them and usually compare them to a planet. The build quality feels good and the speaker has a decent amount of heft to it. Battery: The battery life is ok, nothing to write home about. I get a few hours with half volume and about 2 with max volume. I pretty much exclusively keep these speakers plugged in now so they stay on - ready to be paired. The only issue I've had is that sometimes there are Bluetooth problems. The volume doesn't change on the speaker even though I'm increasing/decreasing the volume on my phone. Rarely the speakers will have a choppy Bluetooth connection and need to be disconnected. I hope that software updates will fix these issues. I really wish this speaker had Bluetooth 5.0+ as well as airplay support. These speakers almost seem like a revamp of the Studio 4.

My daughter received an Onyx 6 from my parents for Christmas a few yrs ago and I was constantly “borrowing” it because the sound level and bass level are so awesome it sounds like a full size set of house speakers! A yr ago my grown kids asked me what I wanted for Christmas and the Onyx 7 was the only thing on my list. I use it every day and I love it! Great sounding music adds so much more depth, feeling & energy to a song!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Audio is ★5. Connection is ★1. Very basic interface which can be simplistic, but adjustments are very limited. That's fine. Where the real problem is, is the connection quality is poor. Static can be easily heard unless the setup is pristine and very poor latency (- 0.5 seconds). Both these issues get worse when dual pairing with two speakers is enabled. Issue far more present when connected to a PC than phone. It can really be a struggle to enjoy when sound gets interrupted due to poor connection quality. Audio quality, however, is remarkable for its price. Very clean mids and highs compared to the JBL Extremes, Bose Revolves or even Sonos Ones in my opinion. Bass is okay when normal volume but gets immensely better when blasting them- very powerful for their small size. Besides the sound profile being rather warm and bass-oriented (almost as if they marinate your ears), nothing special or gimmicky is in the audio. If you plan on using this for your computer or using it where latency is important, this is a bad choice. If you plan on using this to listening music with your phone or as a party speaker, would recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sound Love the sound, and I have an Onyx 3 & Onyx 4. But here is the thing, this is what YOU do..make great wireless speakers. So why not make them ALL be able to connect to each other??? I cannot connect my onyx 3 & Onyx 4. This is just stupid. If we can send a man to the moon, I would guess that the think tank at Harmon Kardon could figure this out. Very frustrating and disappointing.
