Clothes Smell
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had the washer for 2 years. Ever since the first wash my clothes have come out with a strange smell to them. I have tried every different type of wash program, have stopped using the auto washing liquid dispensers used different amounts of washing liquid and softener and my clothes still smell. I have no idea what it could be, maybe the machine isnt using enough water? It has been doing this from day 1 and I clean the machine with a cleaner every 1-2 months so it isn't a dirty filter or washing machine. Terrible waste of money.

Easy to use, easy excellent wash results
I recently upgraded from an old Asko front loader that was still functioning well but our king size doonas didn’t fit and was really a bit small for our family.
Our initial purchase was a fisher paykel 7000 series and it’s failed to work out of the box. We took it back and there was a wait for a replacement so we paid extra for a 9000 series that also failed to work out of the box.
Fed up we decided on this machine after a good experience with a recent purchase of an AEG dishwasher and I am VERY happy with the quality and results.

AEG 10Kg 9000 Series Washing Machine
I have been using the AEG 9000 now for around 5 weeks, after many years of using a top of the line Miele model.
The AEG 9000 looks a picture of quality and produces a thorough wash and exceptionally clean clothes even when heavily soiled. The Auto dose feature is fantastic and saves a little more time.
The delay start is also great if you have solar installed and want the energy usage paid for by the sun.
The old Miele used to destroy clothes if spun dry on the fastest 1200rpm setting, buttons missing and an occasional tear so we had to remember to lower the setting, but the AEG 9000 has a max spin of 1600rpm and the clothes come out unscathed and water free.
With a 5 year warranty this washer is unbeatable, highly recommended this machine.

Worst machine I have ever owned!
I deeply regret purchasing my 10kg AEG machine. I previously had a LG model and despite how cheap it was it never let me down in 11 years! I have only had the AEG a few months and the wash quality is terrible! My son works on a dairy farm so I wash his work clothes separately I then put a load of whites in the next day and they come out covered in flecks of mud and grass! I regularly put the machine through a cycle clean but it makes no difference. Very expensive purchase that I’m desperate to now get rid of!

Good features, works well, could have better software/firmware
We have had this machine over a year now. I am not sure how well the Auto Dose is working, it seems a bit inconsistent. For instance, the descriptions implies that it senses/weighs the wash load, and tells you if over the limit for the chosen wash program (but it only shows what the limit is not the ACTUAL weight). It should display WHAT weight is sensed, AND then what the intended AUTO dose will be, but the firmware and display does neither of these. The drum is always spotlessly clean, but it seems to show a "DRUM CLEAN REQUIRED" too frequently (TIP: Do NOT use Epsom Salts, just use a proprietary cleaner at 40 degrees, THEN follow it with a maintenance wash with no clothes or liquid or powder - you can use the lower time settings on that, it WILL still clear the notification). Otherwise, it washes well!

We purchased this washing machine along with the matching capacity dryer and it is by far the best we’ve had. A worthwhile investment as we are a family of 6 with young children and my husband is a tradesman so a lot of washing, this has facilitated our laundry needs with no issues whatsoever! I am incredibly pleased with the quality and functionality of these pieces despite having tried other high end brands nothing can compare to AEG! Very quiet operation and does an excellent job every time with various settings for all laundry needs and we go through multiple loads every few days so we make good use of the appliances they’re surely tried and tested in this household. You won’t be sorry to invest in these pieces they are faultless not to mention look very nice in our laundry space and setup was a piece of cake!

The very BEST washer money can buy.
We purchased this front load washing machine a couple of weeks ago and are simply blown away with how well it washes our clothing. Everything we have washed so far has never been so clean and fresh. The colours have come alive and our clothing has been given a new life. The whites are brilliant white and the clothing is soft and fresh. It's easy to operate and looks great. We highly recommend anyone needing a new machine, buy one of these - you won't be disappointed.

Piece of crap
Don’t be fooled by the fake reviews!
This machine is a piece of crap!!
At least 3-5 times a week this machine goes into sub lock and floods our laundry. We have had fisher and Paykel out once so far and will be asking for a full refund! They said it’s normal for the washing machine to flood your laundry this is how it’s been designed apparently! We are so frustrated this is the worst piece of appliance we have ever purchased. DO NOT PURCHASE!!! You will regret it !
