I expected it to be a twist on to prevent that. I also expected the flip part to have a stronger hold, if you tip it upside down it falls open. I want him to be able to open it, but don't want it to open if it tips over in my bag.. Also, the first time we washed them in the dishwasher(top shelf) the colors faded on the animals. I don't know that there's anything better out there, but I expected better quality.
