Image Optimal cooling, optimal taste

TwinTech Cooling consists of two independent cooling systems that work together to keep your fridge functioning at its best, every day. One system keeps your freezer chilled, while the other controls the refrigerator to keep temperature & humidity levels stable.
Ice and water on demand

Enjoy chilled water and cubed or crushed ice through the fridge door whenever you need a refreshing drink.
Image
Image Clean, hygienic storage

TasteGuard uses a carbon filter to keep your fridge fresh, hygienic and free from unwanted odours* that can change the taste and smell of your food.

*93.5% reduction in odour tested using protocol GB21551.4-2010
Minimise the escape

Cool air escapes every time that you open the fridge or freezer door, slowing down the preservation process. Our SmartSplit door design has created 2 separate openings - one for larger items and the other for smaller. This means you don't have to open both at the same time to access items, preventing cool air from escaping & maximising energy usage.

Reviews
Panasonic 34L Genius Sensor Inverter 3-in-1 Combi 1000W Microwave - Stainless Steel (NN-CD87KSQPQ) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 217.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing, not a good purchase This microwave is not as easy to use as my previous combination oven. The automatic functions can be confusing. The microwave function is OK, a number of power settings. However the convention function is noisy and there is a strange almost grinding sound which the Panasonic engineer did not solve. Now they want me to send them a video, in order for them to decide if the noise is normal. This is proving to be difficult. Even if they decided the noise is normal I do not find it acceptable. If this normal it is not fit for purpose. I was unable to see this oven demonstrated before purchase, in future I will not buy without trying the product out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT! THE NEW COMBI MICROWAVE- THE BEST FOR BUSY FAMILIES I was given this product NNCD87KS Combi Microwave / Grill / Convention oven by Panasonic to review. I absolutely love it. Being a busy mum of 3 sporty kids -we are out most nights juggling trainings, games and tea in between. The Combi Option is a favourite - using the grill, even fish and chips heat to the correct temperature while maintaining their crunch..nothing worse than soggy chips!! The Sensor re-heat is fantastic and easy for the kids to use to re-heat left overs. Not only does the Combi Oven work well, save time and cover most meals - it also looks fantastic in our kitchen. Thank you so much Panasonic for allowing me to review your latest product....definitely recommend it! I havent used my full size oven since I received it :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid, will break down after 6 months At first it was a very nice machine, if a little underpowered on the grill. The features for cooking various types of meat, meal or baking was very useful. However after 6 months as others have noted the machines turn table motor is beginning to breakdown, giving high grinding noises during all operations. It think it is probably due to some kind of thermal expansion, i.e it can't handle the heat, but honestly who knows. You'd have thought it would have been caught in Q&A.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always Panasonic! I have used Panasonic Combi Ovens for over 30 years. I don't use a conventional oven, unless I really have too. My 1st was the Dimension 4 back in 1988, which served me well; cooking daily for my family of 4 for 15 years. I even still have the A4 hardback cookbook. This CD87 model is the nearest that Panasonic have come to the Dimension 4, in all the intervening years. The sensor & auto weight programmes really do make all the difference, from having to mess around trying to guess how long something takes to cook.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality, 4 have been faulty! I bought my first Panasonic Combi a few years ago when they had the random microwave system and no turntable. The microwave shorted out under guarantee, and the replacement shorted out a year later. I reluctantly changed to a different make which was smaller so some of my cooking dishes didn't fit and there was no 120 degree temp for meringues. After a few years I decided to buy another Panasonic Combi and bought this updated version with the turntable. After 2 years and 2 months the microwave shorted out with the same problem as before - a horrible noise and a bright flame in the oven. We had insurance so it was sent back for repair. 4 months later it shorted out yet again. I've given up on Panasonic now. As we use fresh food for our meals, and I enjoy making cakes and biscuits, I used the oven, microwave and combinations a lot. I was always careful to use the correct equipment and kept the oven clean, so can only think that this brand of combi microwave is simply not up to everyday use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Pleased I Upgraded To this Model! This is my 3rd Panasonic Microwave in 20 years. The first lasted over 15 years, the second ( a compact version of the first) lasted less than 5 years. Nevertheless I wanted to stick with Panasonic as I've always been pleased with the design and performance. I almost went with the newer version of the compact again, but at the last moment I decided to try this more expensive, larger model - and I am so glad I did. When it arrived I felt unhappy about the size and the 18kg weight, especially as my kitchen is quite small. I waited 2 days before deciding it WOULD fit in the same space as the old compact and I would get used to seeing the bigger version in that corner. Within a few hours I didn't notice the difference in the external size - but I certainly like the roomier internal space. I can now use dishes that were too large for the old model. I thought I would not like using a dial (knob) after 20 years of just pressing buttons, but the dial spins round effortlessly and as speedily as you want, so setting the timer by dial rather than pressing a couple of buttons is just as quick. It pays to read the instructions first no matter how many years you have used a microwave, and the instruction book is practically the same as my old models, but there are subtle differences in using the automatic programmes via the dial. Because this model is so heavy it doesn't slide around the worktop like my old compact. As a single 78 yr old I do all my cooking using the microwave and the hob, haven't bothered with my cooker for years. I'm not a fan of oven chips and always used a deep fryer, but I have to say that this microwave does do oven chips really well. Everything from a jacket potato to a full Roast dinner is done to perfection and, of course, in very quick time. I think it is due to the larger interior that it appears there is less 'splashing' during cooking, resulting in less cleaning. Good results all round.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid at all costs I bought this product based on earlier reviews, hoping it to be a good combi-microwave oven. Unfortunately it turned out to be a bit of a dud. Running the machine on anything other then standard microwave gives rise to an all encmpoassing grinding noise from the turn table motor that drowns out everything in the kitchen. Needless to say it can't be avoided, and seems to be a common problem with this machine, developing over time, so good luck getting a warranty return.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed The cavity steams up. Steam escapes the door. Inside is left dripping. Cannot view through the glass. Fan annoyingly runs on after use. Turntable makes a noise as it starts and then jerks as it rotates. Defrost slow and ineffective. Hot spots and bad spread of heating. One touch Sensor heating over heats food. Ergonomically bad. Right hand needed to open door with left hand holding food just doesn't work with the door opening right to left. Either open door with left hand and deliver food with the right or move door hinges to the other side. Common sense design. Perhaps I've just got a faulty one but it isn't even close to the performance of my 20 year old Sharp. Very disappointed.
