Finally shaver that does the job perfectly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was always sceptical with the shavers due to my hair being very thick and fast growing. I always needed to shave twice a day to maintain fresh look.Philips shaver is doing the job in a half time other shavers do, I don’t have to shave second time and the cleaning process is fast.Quick Charging makes it even easier to use.I will recommend it to my friends and family and I will buy one for my dad for a birthday gift - he struggles with the same hair problems as me and this shaver is a perfect solution for both of us- finally I found a shaver that does the job exactly how I wanted it to

Update after 9 months
I reviewed this shaver 9 months ago and while I stand by that review there are a couple of items that should be considered for the future. The square edges of the blade holder tend to catch the skin. If they were round like the Prestige they would be perfect. Keep the “flip open” and integrated trimmer. That is so much better than pulling the entire head off as with the Prestige.
The cleaning pod sometimes does not engage with the shaver and you have to move it for it to work. If you leave the shaver in the pod it does not dry.
I have found that it gives the best shave “wet”. I prefer “dry” and while it’s as good as the Prestige, I wish it were better.

Smooth and clean shave
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first time I have ventured into getting an electric shaver and I am surely glad I did. The shave is smooth, clean, fast and cuts-free.Very importantly, when I use a normal razor blade, it pulls my facial hair and it hurts, even with new blades. No hair pulling with this electric shaver once you learn the pressure and the patterns! It also has a convenient battery level indicator and charges fast. Finally, it comes with a very convenient protective case to pack in your gym or travel bag. I would highly recommend using this product.

Great Razor, Strange 'Dock'
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the closeness and comfort of the shave, and the pressure light is nice to teach you how to get the best shave. I love the flip-up trimmer instead of needing a separate attachment. However, the clean and charge cycle is clunky for a top-of-the-line razor. To do so, I have to insert the razor into the QuickClean tray, press the power button, wait for the cleaning cycle to finish, then attach the cable to the top of the razor. It wastes time for me, takes up a lot of space and looks rather messy on my counter while charging. I do like that it cleans itself, I just wish they would have found a better way to accomplish this.

Just constantly leaves hairs
It took me three times as long to shave with this series 9000 shaver than it does with my 6 year old 6900 series shaver. It constantly leaves hairs and no matter how many passes it just refuses to cut them. I've no idea why. I'm so disappointed with this shaver. Seems more effort went into unnecessary features and the actual function has lost out. I've never had to change a blade head in my 6 year using the 6900. It seems like I'm going to have to buy a new set after a single shave because to cutting power is awful. Avoid. This is atrocious for such a cost. Would return it if I could but even that's made so difficult!

Overall disappointed - not meaningful improvement
This shaver is good, but my much older Philips 9000 Prestige which provides a closer and more comfortable shave. The 'pressure guard sensor' and 'motion control sensor' sounded good on the advert, but in daily use they are just gimmicks that don't add real value (at least, not for someone who has been shaving for more than 40 years!) One really clever innovation is to have a much smaller cleaning station which is powered by the shaver itself - takes up less space, and cleaning is easier. But overall I am disappointed, and this new shaver is now unused at the back of my cupboard and I've gone back to my Philips 9000 Prestige, which still provides the best electric shave a man can get.

It wastes time for me and looks slapdash while charging, and the Norelco Shaver Cleaning System & Power Cord is not compatible with the Series 9500 razors.

Quality and ease of use of this product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Phillips shavers for many years and have always been very happy with them. I have been using this particular model for just last two weeks now and am extremely satisfied with the results. I get a good smooth shave every time with no skin irritation at all. The charging time of 60 minutes is very good and the shaver gives at least 60 minutes use between charges. I liked the versatility of cleaning methods using the brush, running water or the cleaning fluid. I also liked the separate charging stand. In all, I could find nothing that I disliked about the design or features of this product.
