I wish the leash was attached at the top.
The leash attaches to the bottom of the backpack instead which makes it hard to use. When my daughter is going the wrong direction, the leash doesn’t do it’s job because when she runs out of slack, it’s attached to the bottom of the backpack so it makes her fall down. I wish it was attached at the top, so I could use the backpack for the reason I purchased it. But the butterfly design is beautiful and I still think it’s a cute backpack for my daughter.

Love the long strap feature.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my son when he first started walking (running) and was getting too fast for me and was difficult to catch. He had the monkey bag. He loved it and packed it up with a few favorite toys and snacks and wore it whenever we left the house. It kept him safe and helped put my mind at ease knowing we could count on it (I have health issues and need ant physical help I can get).
I just bought the butterfly bag for my daughter's 1st birthday. She's about to start walking and I know this will be an essential for outings. She is obsessed with butterflies and has the stuffed animal version of this butterfly and loves it.

Perfect toddler back pack!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this in hopes to control my runaway two year old.. He is in love with it! He wants to put it on every time we leave the house, packs it full of all his stuff, and can do the chest clip himself. It’s the perfect smaller size for a toddler, has a small mesh side pocket for water, and still fits a fair amount of stuff inside (full lunch, toys, water, diapers, etc). The leash part attaches to the bottom of the pack and clips on easily. Everything is a great, durable material, well made, and how fricken cute is the dinosaur! I’ll be buying one of these for my daughter as well!

Cute but not practical
My mom bought this for my 18 month daughter and although it’s adorable (unicorn) the position of the leash on the bottom does not allow proper control of my fast and furious toddler. This makes it easy for her to have a fit on the floor instead of standing up with the backpacks support. Overall would not recommend if your looking for a more sturdier toddler product

Sturdy, useful, and cute!
I purchased this harness in preparation for a trip knowing my very mobile toddler would want to run around but need to stay close to be safe. I love that the harness doubles as a backpack and doesn’t scream “kid leash!” It will take some learning for my kiddo to get used to walking with it on. She’s not used to being restrained from walking wherever she wants, so she just plops to the floor when there is resistance. But the harness certainly serves its function for safety. The detachable parent handle is the perfect length and I love that I can remove it or stuff it in the side pocket when not in use.
And BONUS: the backpack is so handy! I love that we can fit a snack, a cup, and/or small toys or activities in there! It’s the perfect size to carry a few necessities and fit comfortably on my petite 16 month old’s back (the adjustable length of the clasp in the front helps with that and will allow us to continue to use it as she grows!). I can see us using the bag for dropping off at the church nursery and things like that without handing over the entire diaper bag.
Also, the design of the bag is as good as we have come to expect from Skip Hop! I love the simple, yet playful animal design (we got the owl!) and the quality of the materials is great! Nothing about it feels cheap. Very happy with the price point for such a cute, well-made, and useful product!

The Unicorn Zoo Harness is great
I love this backpack, my 1 year old daughter like to run and be independent. This gives her the option to do that without my having to be constantly running after her. She loved it when we opened it and showed it off to everyone around. I can't wait to use it some more.

Adorable and fun!
We bought the Dinosaur version for our almost-13 month old son, so that we could let him explore on his own, but still stay close to Mom and/or Dad. We love it, and it works great. The only issue that we have with the product is that the tether is VERY short. My husband (5'11" tall) can't stand up straight and hold the handle for the tether, even when our son is standing still right next to him. He has to lean to the side so that he isn't tugging on the backpack and has even a small amount of slack in the tether.

Excellent size
This little backpack is the perfect size for toddlers! It can hold a few board books, a couple small balls and mini trucks for my son to take with him. I love the detachable strap for the times when we go somewhere super busy and it's very durable.
I recommended the matching snack cup to go along with it as well for snack time needs.
