Decent picture quality but bad firmware
Good clarity but has bad firmware issues.
I returned my first one under warranty mainly because it kept restarting after starting up. The second one did the same until I called Uniden support and upgraded the firmware.
Now, even with the latest firmware, the park mode doesn't work properly (battery consistently dies by the time you get back in the car) and the other day, when I turned the car off, it got in a loop of saying "you are over the speed limit" and wouldn't respond to ANY input until the battery died (may be what's causing park mode to not work).
Sometimes it doesn't turn on when you begin driving (which defeats the purpose of even having it)

DO NOT BUY!!!
Bought two of these units with high hopes as uniden is a brand i trust. Sadly both units are less then useless. Both units keep switching on and off at random intervals. Turned off the G sensor and screen saver option in order to eliminate them as the cause, no change. Used a different USB in case the lead was faulty, Still no change. Both units seem to have the same fault and will be getting returned today. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

Not worth it
Purchased it expecting big things but was disappointed.
WDR is ineffective and you end up with a lot of over or under exposed footage. Plus I also had the same problem where the unit randomly resets when parking mode is enabled. Also the '4K' is not UHD, it's only 2880x2160.
Not my first dash cam but will be my last Uniden one. Returned mine for full refund.

Waste of money, NOT recommended at ALL.
1) Very misleading about the App, which doesn’t work at all.
2) Night clarity is poor
3) Speedo keeps on going even after stopping the car. It takes about 20 odd seconds to come back to zero after completely stopping the car.
4) Very very unfriendly user. Half of the time the buttons don’t respond.
This is way over priced as this is not “what you pay what you get”.
So buyers be aware. I lost trust on uniden, I wish I read others reviews before I purchased it.

Best Dash Cam out there
bought this for my night job as a uber driver and the quality night vision has saved me in 2 instances where I had 2 small accidents and the camera was able to pick up the number plate clearly.

Uniden quality sadly declined nowadays
Uniden quality has declined somewhat now they are manufactured in China and not the Philippines anymore.This unit has very poor battery life and suffers badly and from glare and reflections from the windshield of the car, The quality of the video is quite good even a lower resolution (1080 or 720p) however the still photo quality can be grainy and pixelated in poor lighting situations or nighttime, the park mode G sensor is too sensitive even at it’s lowest setting...will activate just by simply closing the car door...once triggered will drain the units internal battery very quickly...suggest installing a hardwire kit to prevent this happening.The unit has WiFi and a downloadable App for both Apple and Android I have tried both and it worked perfectly...was able to transfer footage to my phone and tablet and also take control of the unit via WiFi...be sure to download the correct version of software for your model of camera or you will have problems...unit also have built in GPS which as multiple alerts and and speedometer reading...the speedometer reading is imprinted on the video but note that GPS location can only be viewed on the App via a map overlay...it’s definitely not the best unit on the market but would be okay for general use I guess for people who are not to fussy and don’t wish to pay upwards of a few hundred bucks for a dash cam.
