" Nice in the Shower! "
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shaver glides across my skin. It doesn't cut as close as my straight razor but it does do a fantastic job. I can shave either at the sink or take it in the shower with me so I don't have any messy clean up. It fits really nicely in my hand so if I'm using the built in trimmer I don't slip and mess up my sideburns. When I'm done I can just touch the button and the shaver head flips open so that I can just rinse it out under the faucet. I also like that it comes with a storage case so that I can easily take it with me when I go on vacation. This is the best razor I've ever owned so I would definitely recommend this high quality product.

It's a gorgeous item.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The "slider" part, on the head attracted my attention. Until I had to shave under my nose. It seems the apertures for the blades are a bit far in, from the edge, thus making it an interesting maneuver to reach the hairs under my nose. But, I manage... I also notice, I have to make a few more passes for the blades to catch and cut the hairs on my beard. Unlike the cheaper aquatec, I've had for 6 years. I also found it to be quieter than the aquatec. Overall, I have it now, and I will use it hopefully for a few years. I do believe in the quality of shavers from Philips Norelco and that's why I continue to purchase your products.

Great shaver
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have very corse hair that is hard to shave completely with an electronic razor. Especially on my neck, it's almost impossible to get a close shave I normally have to go back in with a razor, but not this time I was able to shave my whole face and get a nice clean shave with no problem. Plus I can use this in the shower to make it even easier. I highly recommend this shaver to anyone looking for a close shave who has thicker more corse hair.

Gives a close shave, but it is bulky and inconveni
The shaver is significantly bigger than my previous Philips, which feels leas comfortable in my hand.
But what is really annoying is the shaving heads layout. They seem to be more spread out, which is ok for the large surfaces like neck and cheeks, but for the curvy areas I now need more passes to get them smooth. The bulky surface around the shaving heads make it impossible to shave my the mustache under the nose, especially with the annoying large protrusion of the lid hinge. I spend a lot of time pushing the shaver into my nose in weird angles until my mustache is smooth.
Seems like I paid premium price for whistles and bells, but a lousy basic shaving. Very disappointing!

Smooth and comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone with sensitive skin I was quite impressed with this shaver. The shaver conforms nicely to your skin and flows smoothly across your face. Although it’s not as close a shave as a straight razor this does a pretty good job. I like the fact that it can be used wet or dry. Using it in the shower saves a lot of mess and clean up. The battery life is also a huge plus. I’ve only had to charge this about once per 4-5 shaves. You can check the battery life by viewing the indicator bar right on the front of the shaver. Overall I’m pretty impressed by this razor and I highly recommend if you need something for a quick shave.

Excellent for a quick shave
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Philips Series 8000 for a about a month now and it has been a massive upgrade over my previous shaver. I've found that it cuts the hair nice and low and I've not had any irritation whatsoever. The battery life has been excellent and have used multiple days in a row without the need to re-charge and find the fact that the charge cable is a USB cable much handier than either a 2pin or 3pin plug. The shaver has been very easy to clean due to it being so far even without the cleaning pod. I took the photos mid-shave to show the before and after of using the shaver - one is a days worth of growth and the other a few days of growth.

Best Electric Shaver!

At first I was hesitant but knowing the great reputation of Philips brand I go on and got it and was so glad I did. I could say this is the best. Very easy to use, smooth and cuts very close without leaving my skin irritated. Amazing product. Yes two thumbs and highly recommend to friends and family.

Happy with the close shave
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Norelco trims closer than my previous Norelco and Braun shavers. However, the cutting heads are located too far from the edge of the head assembly. It makes it difficult to precisely shave the hair under the sideburns. Also, the instruction don’t describe cleaning the shaver other than with their special accessory and fluid. Well, I didn’t buy them and I clean the shaver by blowing it out with compressed air, using soap and water and adding a drop of shaver oil after the water has dried. So far, no one has died and the shaver still works. I’ll call it a win.
