Rated 1 out of 5 by from A 5 star keyboard ruined by glaring design flaw Q: When is a backlit keyboard not really a backlit keyboard. A: When all the secondary keys are not backlit (by design) - see photo. I've owned many backlit keyboards over many years and I have never come across such an issue as this. I prefer to work in low light environments and that preference leads me to purchase and use backlit keyboards. On the Logitech G512 Carbon you cannot see\read the secondary keys in low light when using the back light so this keyboard is basically useless for the environment it was designed for. How did this even get past the design stage let alone final approval? I do not recommend this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality, RGBs fail often, Keycaps often break I've bought two of these one with the tactile keys an' one with mechanical keys. The lights on both failed within half a year, first one I assume' was because I put it to cycle through colours a lot but the other was kept on one colour all the time. As for the key caps, the mechanical was for sure more robust but lasted only another year longer, so far has ha' less keys break off but the first happened today. Guess which letter by the one missing where spell check doesn't say the word is spelt wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Logitech quality This mechanical keyboard is awesome for the price. I was really trying to not have a boring setup so I wanted as much RGB I could get. Many cool lighting effects and brightness control on the keyboard. Once you get used to mechanical feel you'll fall in love with mechanical keyboards. Every time I use normal keyboards after using this keyboard it just doesn't feel right. On mechanical keyboards every button has a satisfying click.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Premium feel and super satisfying to type on As this is my first mechanical keyboard, the Logitech G512 Carbon with GX Brown switches is really nice to type on, with a smooth but tactile feel that makes both everyday use and gaming feel very satisfying. The keyboard has a reassuring weight to it, which helps it stay put on the desk and gives it a solid, premium feel overall.
