Barely Lathers
This product smells nice, but otherwise it's hard to find anything redeeming. It isn't cheap and it barely lathers. This means I have to use 5 times as much of an already expensive product. I end up with greasy patches in my hair because the shampoo hasn't spread across my whole scalp. To make matters worse I find my hair gets greasy within 24hrs of washing with the product - almost three times as quickly as my cheap Boots shampoo. I have always respected the Aveda brand, and the conditioners are great but they really need to reconsider this product

I broke out as a result of using this product
I regret trying this shampoo, as it caused me to break out in multiple areas. After using it, I developed acne on my chest, the nape of my neck, and along my hairline. I suspect it's due to the pore-clogging ingredients in the formula. If you have sensitive skin or are prone to breakouts, I definitely don't recommend this product. It's unfortunate because the shampoo seemed promising at first, but the side effects were just not worth it. Avoid if you're looking for something gentle on the skin.

Works great for fine hair
Used for years so lived through formula change but still works a treat. I can't use the conditioner but the shampoo is great for me. Tried loads of others but always come back to this. Gives my hair some body, leaves it feeling clean and always healthy. I have chin length fine blonde 51 year old hair. I use Aveda thickening hair lotion too which is great. Sometimes combine with the volumising one but if you need to choose and you have fine hair go for the thickening one.

Will always repurchase
After being recommended this shampoo by a friends I decided to purchase the Shampure Shampoo & Conditioner. On first use I discovers you need two double shampoo hair for the best results, but as someone with very thick hair I would have to do this anyway. I can't believe how shiny and nourished my hair looks after using this, not at all greasy or dry as some of the below reviews have complained about.

I thought this would be perfect for my fine highlighted curly hair as it gets greasy quickly but actually this is having the opposite effect. It's more of a clarifying shampoo for me as it dries my hair so much. I purchased the conditioner to see if that would help but still dry and I'm going to have to switch to something else. Not what I was hoping for given the cost.

Extremely disappointed
Smells wonderful. However, Has left my hair dry and greasy and feeling like I haven't washed it out properly. I gave it another go thinking that perhaps I didn't wash it out. Same. Disappointed as this was received as a Christmas present. Not sure if the issue is with the shampoo or conditioner but not really the point given the cost. Rip offÖ

I love this product for every day hair washing
This is my 2nd litre bottle. Its a lovely product. The smell is amazing. It feels luxurious and makes great lather. It leaves your hair feeling very soft and although I wash my hair every day it doesnt dry it out. It lasts for ages and you only need a tiny bit to wash your hair too.

So dissapointed
Unfortunately after using for only 4 days it has left my hair feeling greasy/ waxy near the roots, then dry and flyaway thereafter. So disappointed as I'd read positive reviews about the shampoo and conditioner. I live in a hard water area, could this be a reason?
