Description
Miele continues to innovate and improve the life of users, hence, introducing HydroClean. Most users do not clean their appliance after each use, causing the interior good looks to be tarnished by burnt-on food residue over the time. Miele now introduce DGC Pro, steam combination ovens with HydroClean feature.
Key Features
HydroClean
- A wet-cleaning function which sprays water with a chemical detergent added into the oven interior to soften food and remove food residue. Even burnt-on food residue is completely and effortlessly removed. This way, the oven interior retains its new and pristine looks.
- This removes all food residue just as easily and trace-free from the surfaces of the oven interior as pyrolytic self-cleaning does on Miele’s conventional ovens. The cleaning process comprises of 5 steps
Step 1, Preparation : Depending on the degree of soiling, three different settings representing three degrees of intensity are available. Users have to select the HydroClean programme at the machine display and the required cleaning degree setting. All accessories, including the side racks and FlexiClips, have to be removed from the appliance and the top hinged heater element needs to be lowered. Thereafter, users have to pour the Miele detergent (Hydrocleaner) from the bottle through the filter insert in the base of the oven interior. The cleaning phase starts when the appliance door is closed.
Step 2, Cleaning phase : At the beginning of this stage, the detergent drains into a newly created water circuit, where it is blended with fresh water and pumped to the ceiling of the cabinet. From there, the lather is introduced into the oven interior via a new port, and sprayed uniformly around the oven by an impeller. This softens and removes soiling. The procedure is repeated automatically several times.
Step 3, Rinse phase : The foam is rinsed out of the cabinet with fresh water and drained off. It also removes finer food residue particles from the cabinet.
Step 4, Manual post-cleaning phase : Similar to removing ash residue after pyrolytic cleaning, coarser soil can be removed quickly and without scrubbing by the users using multi-purpose microfibre cloth. Miele micro-fibre cloths are particularly suitable for this purpose as they have a finely woven fabric structure and hence are particularly able to pick up particles. After the cleaning programme, users can fit the accessories back to the oven and return the ceiling heater element to its horizontal position.
Step 5, Drying phase : When the door is closed, a short drying phase will commence.
- Miele recommends using HydroClean every three months, or even more often if the oven is frequently used for roasting and grilling.
- The PerfectClean oven interior finish will be discontinued on all models with HydroClean self-cleaning as this non-stick finish is no longer required.
