I want to like this card mat, but so far it’s ruined 4 cards...or is it the cutting machine?
I bought the Cricut Joy on March 7, 2020. The first thing I did was to make a sticker with the sample gray vinyl. I was excited to make cards and purchased the. Card mat. Made 2 cards no problem. The more complicated the design, the more it messed up.the paper. Maybe the sticky part of card mat isn’t sticky enough to hold the card in place anymore and it moves around. So disappointed.because this is the main reason I bought the Cricut Joy In the first place. And the supplies such as the cards are kind of speedy to be messing up. I do love the sample sticker I made though.

easy to use but no longevity
The adhesive fades very quickly. I was able to make two cards without issue. On the third card, the card wouldn't stay adhered to the mat which resulted in a poor cut. After following the cricut instructions, I was able to clean the mat and complete another two cards. In total, I was able to make 5 cards. After that point, each card was essentially shredded. I used cricut materials exclusively. The blade and machine were both brand new.

Joy Card Mat
I was very disappointed with the card mat that came in a bundle when I purchased my Joy. I got less than 10 cards from it and now cards won't adhere to it and just gets ripped up when trying to cut. I even tried putting blue painters tape on the corners and it tears in the middle of the card during cutting. I also wiped the mat like I do my Maker mat, but nothing worked.

Worked great... for only 5 cards
Overview: great product if you love material that only work for up to 5 cards and then make sure you have tape available. If you’re looking for something that lasts (even knowing that *eventually* the card will become less sticky), look elsewhere.
I made lovely Valentine’s Day cards and was in the midst of making a batch of birthday cards when all of a sudden my card stopped sticking and a card was ruined when the blade dragged my card around as it was cutting. As I had only made 5 cards before this one, I thought it was my fault and that I hadn’t pressed the card firmly enough to the sticky mat - yes it was still sticky to the touch and the card seemed to be secure. So I tried again, making sure to really press the entire area of the card to the mat and triple checking a secure hold. Yet again, despite pausing the cutting multiple times, the card continued to move and another card was ruined. I finally had to use scotch tape to keep the third attempt in place. It worked great! I just hope the tape doesn’t ruin my blade!
Yes I used the Cricut tools to get the cutouts off the mat and no I did not touch the sticky surface with my fingers or is there any way that oils or any liquid got on the surface.

Piece of junk
I ruined 6 Cricut insert cards trying to get this to work. Card stock wouldn’t lay flat, kept bunching up. Tried tape-no go. Tried holding it inplace didn’t work. I have no more patience. Im an experienced crafter and relatively app-savvy. I pretty much have this machine and will not recommend to anyone.

TERRIBLE!
I used this mat once, ONLY ONE TIME, and it has now ruined the next three cards I tried to make because it already lost all its stickiness. I would love to return it, but I can't. Very disappointed, as I have already recommend the Joy to several friends that plan to buy it based on my recommendation of the Card Mat.

Joy card mat
The stickiness on the mat does not last, so quality isn’t Cricut standards.

Super Easy Card Making
I love this mat! It makes making cards a lot easier. The only potential issue I see is when making cuts using this mat. I find that the blade is also carving into the mat grip underneath. I see this causing an issue of wearing down the grip and ultimately shortening the life of the mat. Other than that, it’s super easy to use with my Joy.
